Commissions

Commissioning a portrait is a chance to own something truly personal and meaningful.

How it works

I paint from photographic reference, so the first step is always making sure we have the right source material. This could be an existing photo you love, or you can send multiple references and angles and I'll select, adjust, and combine as needed to get the best likeness, pose, and lighting.

All commissions are painted in my signature style, a portrait bust on a simple background, in oil on canvas, using the same palette and approach as my exhibited work.

Turnaround

Turnaround is usually 4 to 6 weeks depending on size and complexity, though I can work to a specific deadline if needed. I share progress along the way so you can see how the painting is coming together.

Pricing

Commission pricing starts from $4,600 AUD for a smaller work (around 40×50cm) and moves up to $7,500 AUD and beyond for larger pieces (around 61×76cm and above). Custom sizes, dimensions and framing configurations are all possible, just ask.

What's included

Every commissioned painting comes with the sketch, the palette, and a studio process film: a short edited video documenting the creation of your painting from start to finish. It's a unique way to experience the story behind the work.

Payment

Commissions require a 50% deposit to get started, with the balance due on completion.
